Coconut Trees

 

When we first moved in we had three beautiful coconut trees in front of our apartment.  The young girls enjoyed sitting on our steps in the shade as they ate their lunch.

 

  A few days later they began cutting them down with the excuse that they were cracking the retaining walls and also they didn't want the coconuts falling on our heads.  We were so sad.  I was so excited to have palm trees in my little front yard.  Now they are gone.
